Energy consumption

The InnoPET Blomax machines are characterized by low heating and compressed air consumption – the lowest energy consumption in this industry. The very low mandrel distance (pitch) of just 38 mm enables highly efficient heat penetration of the preform. Individually adjustable heating modules and an efficient mandrel cooling also reduce energy costs. Up to 100% recycled air for the preblowing process as well as reduced blowing pressure in Light Weighting results in very low compressed air and low energy consumption. A low dead air volume (short connection during air supply) further enhances this effect.

Low-pressure blowing

Already when designing the bottle the future and final blowing pressure is determined. Extensive experience in PET and continuous further development of processes enable lowest-possible values. Low blowing pressures can be obtained due to light preforms (material savings), small pitch (distance between preforms in the machine), good heat penetration and short connection during air supply (low dead air volume).
