Oval shapes win
Cleaning agents are available in a variety of different packages. The majority of them have an oval shape. There is a good reason for this, but it does impose challenges on the production process.
- Compared to cylindrical containers, oval ones are more complex to produce. They can, however, be emptied better and more easily. Consequently, they are used increasingly
- Design plays an important role. This applies both to the individual shapes and to the design potential for creating labels and consumer information
- Packaging must also be stable enough to allow conveyor belt transportation and to be stood on point of sale shelves
- Good barrier properties are also important to protect products against the ingress of oxygen and to avoid loss of moisture
