PP

PP (Polypropylene) is a polyolefine thus constituting a good water barrier. In contrast to PET, it has no self-rigidity, and is therefore of limited use for stretch blow molding. Compared to PET, gas permeability is increased whereas thermal stability is higher.

Application areas include dry content (powder etc), non-carbonated berverages with a limited shelf life, and hot filling.
