Preform design

Evaluation of a suitable preform depends on the shape of a bottle and its contents. Crucial to preform design are stretch factors (orientation of the PET) and material distribution (wall thickness).

Moreover, it must be clarified whether, and if so how, a preform is extrudable. The cooling times should be observed during injection molding. Ultimately, experience in the PET process is essential in this respect.
